Bowman provided civil engineering, landscape architecture and surveying services to the Joseph Kushner Hebrew Academy for the redesign of their recreational fields and playground areas. Kushner Academy is located in Livingston, NJ and is a K -12 facility. The school also serves as the location of a summer camp program.<\/p>\n

The Kushner Academy project improvements consisted of a synthetic turf soccer field, three basketball courts, swimming pools, a natural grass baseball field and a camping area with cabins for the students. Other site improvements include parking lot modifications, landscaping and a proposed stormwater management system to collect and control the stormwater runoff. Access to the sports fields will be from the reconstructed portion of the main front entrance parking lot located at the southeast side of the building. Specifically the soccer field, basketball courts and swimming pools can be directly accessed from southern end of the building.<\/p>\n

The cabins will be field located in order to minimize the impact of the existing vegetation. The bleacher and overlook area above the bleachers are designed to facilitate wheelchair access. Three playground areas have been provided. One of the playground areas is fully enclosed for the younger age group. The soccer field is equipped with sports lighting to provide the capabilities of nighttime practice for local soccer associations.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
