Bowman provided aerial drone mapping and video services on the newly constructed Safer Access Road within the client’s active mining site. Once the road was constructed, the mapping of the area needed to be updated. Instead of using a conventional survey, which would have been extremely time consuming and potentially dangerous to the surveyor, Bowman flew our fixed-wing UAS to capture alignment and as-built conditions of the new construction. As part of this project, the client wanted to create a promotional video showcasing points of interest and the Safer Access Road. Bowman worked closely with our client to deliver detailed laser mapping serviced with our unmanned surveying drone. The project site was a multi-mile thoroughfare of extreme terrain that is mostly inaccessible by traditional survey techniques.
