The project includes 22.5 miles of new tolled express lanes alongside three regular lanes from I-495 to University Boulevard in Gainesville, new and improved bus service and transit routes, new and expanded park and ride lots with more than 4,000 new park and ride spaces, and interchange improvements.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Bowman provided right-of-way acquisition, relocation consulting and right-of-way plan preparation for the 275 parcels needed to complete the transformation. Additionally, prepared a comprehensive utility analysis identifying over 350 potentially affected utility facilities and provided relocation design and coordination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Survey teams provided DTM verification surveys covering the project corridors, setting and controlling aerial Lidar targets, flying and capturing new Lidar and orthophoto mosaic data on the entire corridor, and processing a new bare earth DTM. Bowman also set and controlled mobile Lidar targets and performed data collection on about 60 miles of highway, ramps and roadway corridors, and prepared a new DTM on the hard highway and roadway surfaces and replaced the hard-surface DTM for the VDOT survey with the mobile Lidar surface.
